We have been carrying out surgical hair transplants since 1974. In those days the technology was not as advanced and punch grafts were the only methods available. We attempted to reduce the size of these grafts as they did not have a very natural look. In 1979 we perfected micro grafts in our Brisbane Clinic.

Hair lifts were first carried out in Australia in 1978. We were the first to perform this surgery and as far as our records show, only the second in the world.

Over the last 10 years our Clinics have carried out many thousand of operations using the Intagraft implantation technique. In some cases the Intagraft technique is used in conjunction with other techniques, especially when recreating a hairline that doesn't look natural, or thickening eyebrows, or lowering a hairline. We have now developed various methods to remove the hair bulbs from the back of the head. The 'strip excision' and 'bulb plucking' are two of these methods.
